Member of the Month

So, I wanted the Member of the Month idea to be implemented on the HUB, but it never was. So maybe when there are more members and whatnot, we can have this idea on here.

I'm definitely planning on having one of these. We need to get these forums out there and advertised though. I already have some rules in mind.

Do you have any ideas on how to advertise and get these forums noticed? I'll do the same thing I did with the HUB such as: the url in my bio/motto, telling friends, etc.

Those are things you'd have to do. I know the youtube videos brought a lot of people over to the Hub. Maybe we can do some of that? Reviews, guides to games, etc?

Reviews and videos are a good idea. Giveaways maybe, things like that.

I wish I had some stuff to give away or had a capture card to record something. If I can come across the $, I might be holding some in-game tournaments for some MS points. I think that could be a good start.

A youtube channel is always a great idea, It would help so much. I have been wanting to get a capture card for a while but they are abit pricey for me! BUT, if we are going youtubing we do need one, I would not mind chipping in abit for the site!

Twitter could also help, as well as posting the link on your facebook wall?

Good ideas. Twitter, Facebook, and Youtube are good ways to getting noticed.

By the time people start flowing in, we will have all fronts set up. We could partner up on youtube with some game reviewers, small timers that want to get noticed, everybody wins!!

Guys this is harder then I thought, still not many people here. The hub is not helping that much afterall. Patsfan, you were news reporter on the hub, can you post something about this site as the main news story?

Then hopefully random people browsing will see it and get linked to here.

You can't expect to get 100s of people in one day. Getting a site like this active is going to take some time.
